About
2028CandidateWatch is an independent, nonpartisan publication tracking the race for the 2028 U.S. presidential nominations.
What we publish
We maintain a running board of declared, exploring and speculated candidates in both major parties, alongside four recurring datasets: national and early-state polling averages, quarterly FEC fundraising totals, paid staff and office counts in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada, and volume-weighted prediction-market lines.
Every candidate has a deep-dive profile, every Democratic contender appears in our primary polls hub, and any two contenders can be placed side by side on our comparison pages.
How we work
Polling averages are Bayesian-weighted aggregates of public surveys, weighted by sample size, recency and historical pollster accuracy. Fundraising figures come from quarterly FEC filings. Market lines are volume-weighted across global prediction platforms.
Figures currently shown on the site are illustrative sample data used to demonstrate the tracker's structure while live feeds are integrated. We label estimates as estimates and correct errors as soon as they are identified.
Editorial independence
We do not endorse candidates, accept campaign funding, or coordinate with campaigns, parties or political action committees. The site is funded by advertising. Advertisers have no influence over what we cover or how we present it.
